Amber Corriston has been teaching to children of all ages since 1994 through-out Seattle, NYC, and Connecticut. She teaches ballet, jazz, creative movement, parent-toddler, modern, musical theater, and beginning tap. Each class includes the BrainDance and a different dance concept each week (i.e. Levels, Energy, Directions, Focus).
She grew up dancing at Elizabeth’s Dance Dimensions in Bellevue, WA where she studied with Elizabeth Lanning. Amber graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Washington, double majoring in Dance and Communications. In both 1995 and 1997, she was awarded the title of Miss Dance of the Pacific Northwest through Dance Masters of America. In 1995 she also won the title of Miss Washington and competed in the Miss America Scholarship Program. She is currently the Director of Dance at Harrisonburg High School and lives with her husband and their two children in Harrisonburg, VA.
ALLIE CAPPIELLO – Allie Cappiello is currently a senior Dance Major at James Madison University. She is originally from Long Island, New York where she first began her dance training at the age of three. Since coming to college, the JMU dance program has pushed her horizons both inside and outside of Harrisonburg. She spent the summer after her Freshman year attending the American Dance Festival Six Week Intensive at Duke University in North Carolina, and spent this past summer abroad on a Four Week Dance Intensive in London alongside the JMU Dance Program. While she is on Long Island, she is the Coordinator of Dance at her local City Camp and has a passion for working with children of all ages. Allie had the privilege of interning in the office of the Radio City Rockettes during the summer of 2017 and after graduation she plans to pursue a career in teaching dance. Working with CMAD is incredibly special to her and she is excited to continue this experience as a teacher for the Level II Ballet/Jazz class!
KATIE CRIDER – Katie is a sophomore at JMU double majoring in biology and dance. She grew up dancing at Elkton Parks and Rec. and looks forward to teaching dance throughout her life.
MADDIE OSBORN – Maddie Osborn is currently a senior Musical Theater major at JMU. She trained in ballet as a young dancer and studies all forms of dance at JMU.
JENNA RANDALL – Jenna is a sophomore at JMU majoring in biology. She and Miss Katie danced together in the Elkton Parks and Rec. dance program.

Ryan Corriston is an Assistant Professor in Dance at James Madison University. He began his training at the Creative Dance Center in Seattle, WA where he studied under Anne Green Gilbert and performed with the Kaleidoscope Dance Company (a modern dance company for children). After graduating with his B.A. in Dance from the University of Washington, he moved to NYC where he performed and toured with Doug Varone and Dancers, The Tiffany Mills Company, and also performed in many productions at the Metropolitan Opera. In 2013, Corriston graduated with a Masters in Dance from the University of Washington. He loves to play sports, travel, and BBQ!
